Cryotherapy

Go under the ice, not the knife to start feeling better!

Cryotherapy is a revolutionary method of cold therapy involving a brief exposure to subzero temperatures. It utilizes cold liquid nitrogen to trigger the release of endorphins, enhance blood circulation, decrease inflammation and stimulate cellular regeneration.

Treatment Options

Whole Body Cryotherapy treatments work by subjecting the skin to controlled levels of subzero temperatures in the form of liquid nitrogen vapors. The treatment is conducted in a device called a cryochamber, or cryosauna. The cold liquid nitrogen used with Cryotherapy will trigger the release of endorphins, while the enhanced blood circulation will decrease inflammation and stimulate cellular regeneration. Whole Body Cryotherapy triggers an increase in the body’s natural pain relievers and mood-lifting hormones.

The state-of-the-art Cryotherapy chamber fills with nitrogen vapor, lowering your skin temperature. A temporary dry chill penetrates the outer layer of skin. Once out of the chamber, the body immediately reheats. The treatment lasts an average of three minutes. Your head remains outside the chamber, and you can exit at any time.

Local Cryotherapy treatments are used to reduce pain, inflammation and swelling in targeted areas, such as the neck, back, knees, hips, shoulders and joints. Unlike Whole Body Cryotherapy, which triggers an internal systemic anti-inflammatory response in the entire body, local area treatment only needs to be conducted for about 5-10 minutes, with a benefit exceeding that of hours of icing.

Cryo Glow Facial is another option where the cold liquid nitrogen vapor is applied to the face, neck and scalp. Experience an immediate tightening of your skin, and enhance your hair growth. This is a no downtime facial, which can also treat acne. Collagen is activated to produce more cells, causing the skin to become more elastic over repeated use of the facial. Your skin’s pore size is reduced, keeping toxins, dirt and grime out. The Cryo Glow Facial flushes away built-up toxins in the skin and soothes inflammation, eliminating dreaded puffiness.

What to Expect

You’ll experience an even cooling over the entire body from the dry nitrogen vapor. However, the vapor remains inside the chamber, so you breathe the air in the room. You are monitored the entire time.

The experience makes patients feel refreshed and invigorated, and only lasts about three minutes, with the final 30 seconds feeling the coldest. Users claim a host of benefits, both physical and mental.

Cryotherapy can be used for a variety of conditions and areas of the body. From treating specific, targeted pain to whole body stimulation. It is popular among athletes as well, with many professional athletes relying on Whole Body Cryotherapy to aid in recovery.
