O-Shot® (Orgasm Shot)
The O-Shot®, also known as the orgasm shot, can help women improve their sexual satisfaction, the intensity of an orgasm, reduce vaginal discomfort and improve urinary incontinence.
How it Works
The O-Shot® treatment involves no hormones and no surgery, and virtually no downtime. Just one shot, a straight dose of your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the genitourinary area of the body. The high concentration of platelets in the blood’s plasma immediately calls in regenerative substances to help restore adequate tissue integrity.
Inserting platelets into the clitoris and vaginal opening invites an influx of collagen, stem cells and circulation. As a result of this stimulation, the vaginal tissue behaves in a more youthful manner, essentially reactivating the body’s natural orgasmic capacity. Less bladder leakage occurs. Sensual response to stimulation is reborn. Orgasms become the new norm.
Benefits of Choosing the O-Shot®

What To Expect During Treatment
We are specifically trained to handle delicate procedures such as the O-Shot®, so you can expect us to prioritize your comfort.
We begin by applying topical numbing cream on the treatment area, including the clitoris. A local anesthetic block may also be performed to adequately numb the clitoral and vaginal tissue. Ice can also be applied to the area for a short period of time.
While anesthetic is setting in, we will draw blood from a vein in your arm. The blood is processed in a centrifuge to separate PRP from red blood cells. The PRP is then placed into its own syringe, and injections of the PRP are made into the clitoral tissue and into the front of the vaginal wall just at the opening. The entire process typically takes less than 15 minutes.
Since we take multiple steps to desensitize the injection area, most women describe the discomfort of treatment as mild, with mild being about 2-3 on a scale of 10. Many patients say the anticipation of discomfort was much more stressful than the treatment itself.
Results and Recovery
Patients may feel slightly more sensitive immediately following their treatment. However, results can be expected to improve for several weeks. It may take two to three weeks for the initial effects to be seen, such as improved urinary control. From about six weeks onward, circulation, lubrication, and the strength of orgasms reach maximum impact, with those results lasting roughly 12 months.
Side effects from the O-Shot® are typically mild. Tenderness or soreness may occur and may last for a day or two after treatment. This can be managed with over-the-counter medication like acetaminophen. Some women feel nothing for about three weeks. Others feel ultra-sensitive right away due to the increase in circulation through the genital area. Finally, slight spotting can be expected as a result of injections. A panty liner can be worn as needed to manage this.
Are you a candidate for the O-Shot®?
Vaginal dryness and atrophy can have a severe, detrimental impact on a woman’s sexual responsiveness. These concerns, as well as urinary incontinence, are complaints that many women have brought to their health care providers. With age, certain changes are to be expected, but these changes do not have to mean the end of sensuality, or a strong sense of sexual confidence and satisfaction.
If you are struggling with the signs of vaginal atrophy, such as decreased clitoral sensation, difficulty reaching orgasm or becoming fully aroused, painful intercourse and a lack of lubrication, schedule a consultation to explore what the O-Shot® can do for you.
