Lichen Sclerosus
Lichen sclerosus is a chronic condition that causes thin, itchy white patches of skin, usually on the genital area. This inflammatory skin disorder can be treated with hormone therapy, topical creams, lasers and/or injections.
We often combine multiple therapies, including PRP and stem cells, for long-lasting results. During a consultation, we will determine the best treatment or combination of treatments to ease your lichen sclerosus.
What to Know
The white patches can appear anywhere, but most often are on the area around the opening of the vagina (vulva) and the anus, in girls and women. In boys and men, it is most commonly found on the foreskin and end of the penis.
Anyone can suffer from lichen sclerosus, but postmenopausal women are at higher risk.
